I am very interested in the paranormal and things that go bump in the night. I don't know if I believe in spirits or ghosts or life after death, but I have an open mind and am willing to be proven wrong.

However I was at home upstairs alone after the wife had got up early for work at 05.15.

I was awake, I knew she had got out of bed, I looked at the clock and turned over to get warm till it was my time to get out of bed. The bedroom was quite light with the bedside lamp switched on. A second after I turned around and pulled over the duvet I felt a very small hand take hold of my right hand the small hand which felt about the same size as a 5yr old child's hand.

The small hand held mine as I tried to get up to see what this was, as I knew there were no kids in the house as our children are grown up, However I could not get up to see what it was holding my hand. I tried so hard to sit up but I felt paralysed and could not move. So I called my wife to get her to look what was happening.

My wife could not hear me as I could not shout, Just a whisper came out of my mouth, it was like something was stopping me shouting out. Then after about 30 seconds it was all over. I could move again and speak, I got out of bed and searched the room but there was nothing and no-one in the room. I know I was not dreaming I was wide awake !

I really don’t know where I find the time from for ghost hunting but I am so interested in this subject and I get really excited when I know I am going on a vigil. I love pets and had a Yorkshire terrier for 19 yrs. However since she died I can swear that I have seen the dog walk in the lounge and sit by the fire.

Many of you would think it was a dream or that I was tired, But NO I was wide awake and conscious of what I was seeing. It was so spooky and a little scary too.

Anyway being a working mum and a wife I have to get on so hope you enjoy the site and our news stories also the ones to come.

I am just so interested in the subject of Spirits or even ghosts. I love to go to  different locations especially old houses or period properties and search for spirit.  I believe that I have seen spirit or apparitions and I believe spirit has actually touched me. I love to visit castles and would have loved to have lived in those days.

I have a real interest in the paranormal and love to stay on overnight vigils at spooky places. I have seen and photographed many Orbs and I have seen what I believed was a spirit. I am a fashion Goth and love gothic clothing and fashion Jewellery of which I have lots of. I am an animal lover and keep a pet Tarantula called fangs.

 I am just an ordinary everyday person, well that is until it comes to the spirit world. Since my youth I have been experiencing unexplained things, such as doors closing when no one was there. The TV turning on and off on its own. Also seeing what I believe to be apparitions of the spirit. After such a long time of  being pestered by these happenings I attended a spiritualist church.

Whilst there I spoke with many people Including who had the ability to contact spirit. These people explained to me that I had an ability to contact spirit myself, however it was made clear to me that I would have to keep practicing my gift and not shut spirit out.

Since then I have gained the ability myself to contact the spirit, although I am still a novice. Now you know why I have an Interest in the Paranormal or have the SPIRIT got the interest in me..
